Brand Ambassador Social Media Standards

Purpose Social media is one of the most powerful tools for connecting with the pageant community and advancing the mission of Let’s Talk Pageants (“LTP”). As official representatives of LTP, Brand Ambassadors are expected to use social media responsibly, professionally, and in a manner that reflects the organization’s values. This policy provides standards for representing LTP while respecting each ambassador’s personal voice and individuality.
Article I – General Expectations
Brand Ambassadors are encouraged to:
Promote Let’s Talk Pageants in a positive and professional manner.
Share official announcements and organizational initiatives.
Celebrate the achievements of contestants, titleholders, directors, businesses, and community members.
Encourage meaningful conversation within the pageant community.
Represent the mission of LTP with integrity.
Article II – Professional Conduct
When representing Let’s Talk Pageants, Brand Ambassadors shall:
Communicate respectfully.
Be courteous and inclusive.
Use appropriate language.
Engage in constructive dialogue.
Demonstrate professionalism in comments, captions, livestreams, and direct messages.
Article III – Accuracy
Before sharing information, Brand Ambassadors shall make every reasonable effort to ensure it is accurate.
Ambassadors should:
Share information from official LTP sources whenever possible.
Verify event details before posting.
Avoid spreading rumors or unverified information.
Correct inaccurate information promptly if an error is discovered.
Article IV – Official Representation
Brand Ambassadors may:
Share official graphics.
Promote LTP events.
Highlight organizational initiatives.
Celebrate community accomplishments.
Repost approved LTP content.
Brand Ambassadors shall not:
Speak on behalf of Let’s Talk Pageants unless authorized.
Announce official organizational decisions without approval.
Create unofficial policies.
Present personal opinions as official LTP positions.
Article V – Personal Accounts
Let’s Talk Pageants respects that Brand Ambassadors maintain personal social media accounts.
Nothing in this policy prevents ambassadors from expressing personal opinions in their private capacity.
However, ambassadors should:
Make it clear when opinions are personal.
Avoid implying official endorsement by Let’s Talk Pageants.
Exercise sound judgment when discussing sensitive topics.
Remember that public conduct may affect public perception of the organization.
Article VI – Respectful Engagement
Brand Ambassadors shall not:
Harass or bully others.
Engage in personal attacks.
Use hateful or discriminatory language.
Encourage online hostility.
Participate in public arguments while representing LTP.
When disagreements arise, ambassadors are encouraged to respond professionally or disengage respectfully.
Article VII – Confidential Information
Brand Ambassadors shall not publish:
Internal discussions
Private meetings
Confidential organizational information
Unreleased announcements
Sensitive personnel matters
Private communications
Questions regarding confidentiality should be directed to organizational leadership before posting.
Article VIII – Photography & Media
Before posting photographs or videos taken while representing LTP, ambassadors should:
Respect event photography policies.
Obtain appropriate permissions when necessary.
Credit photographers and creators whenever possible.
Use official branding appropriately.
Article IX – Political & Controversial Topics
Let’s Talk Pageants does not prohibit ambassadors from holding personal political, religious, or social beliefs.
However, ambassadors should avoid suggesting that such views represent the official position of Let’s Talk Pageants unless specifically authorized.
When engaging in discussions involving controversial topics, ambassadors are encouraged to exercise professionalism, empathy, and respect.
Article X – Use of Logos & Branding
Official logos, graphics, and branding materials may only be used in accordance with the LTP Brand Standards.
Brand Ambassadors shall not:
Modify official logos.
Create unofficial branding.
Use LTP branding for personal business promotion without written authorization.
Represent unofficial partnerships as organizational partnerships.
Article XI – Content Expectations
Brand Ambassadors are encouraged to:
Share event coverage
Promote interviews
Highlight educational resources
Celebrate community service
Support accredited businesses
Recognize award recipients
Share positive pageant experiences
Engage with followers respectfully
Article XII – Questions About Content
If an ambassador is unsure whether content is appropriate to publish while representing Let’s Talk Pageants, they should consult the Director of Brand Ambassadors or the Director of Media & Communications before posting.
When in doubt—
Pause. Ask. Then Post.
Article XIII – Violations
Failure to follow this policy may result in:
Coaching
Verbal warning
Written warning
Temporary suspension
Removal of ambassador privileges
Removal from the Brand Ambassador Program
Corrective action will generally seek education and improvement before more serious measures, unless the conduct is severe.
