Heavy Hitter Pageantry Announces New Date for Inaugural Mr. & Miss Heavy Hitter 2027

By LTP• October 1, 2026

This story is based on the official announcement issued by Heavy Hitter Pageantry. Let’s Talk Pageants will continue to share confirmed updates as they become available.

Heavy Hitter Pageantry has announced a new date for its inaugural Mr. & Miss Heavy Hitter Pageant, moving the highly anticipated event to Sunday, January 17, 2027, at Club Crystal in Houston, Texas. The organization announced the change in an official statement addressed to its contestants, supporters, and the broader Heavy Hitters community. According to Heavy Hitter Pageantry, the decision followed consideration of several factors, including potential contestant participation, venue availability, scheduling, and the overall experience the organization hopes to provide for its inaugural contestants and supporters. The organization said the adjustment was made with the goal of creating the strongest possible experience for its first-ever competition. A Schedule Change Comes With an Emotional Goodbye While the new date allows Heavy Hitter Pageantry to move forward with its inaugural competition, it also creates a significant scheduling conflict for one of the organization’s most important figures. Dorae Saunders, the reigning Inaugural Ms. Heavy Hitter and 1st Lady of Heavy Hitters Pride, will not be able to attend the 2027 Mr. & Miss Heavy Hitter Pageant. Saunders is scheduled to compete in Miss Gay America Femme, taking place January 18–23, 2027. With the two events occurring back-to-back, Heavy Hitter Pageantry explained that the schedules could not be aligned in a way that would allow Saunders to attend both occasions. Rather than diminishing her role within the organization, Heavy Hitter Pageantry emphasized the importance of Saunders’ place in its history. As the inaugural Ms. Heavy Hitter, Saunders helped establish the spirit, presence, and legacy of what the organization represents. The organization stated that her place in Heavy Hitter history is permanently secured as its Inaugural Ms. Heavy Hitter and 1st Lady of Heavy Hitters Pride. At the same time, Heavy Hitter Pageantry expressed its support for Saunders as she prepares to pursue the Miss Gay America Femme title. Looking Toward a Historic First Competition Despite the scheduling change, Heavy Hitter Pageantry is moving forward with its inaugural event and is inviting contestants, supporters, family, friends, and members of the community to Houston for the January 17 celebration. The organization describes Mr. & Miss Heavy Hitter as being about more than competition, positioning the event as part of a broader movement and community. The 2027 event will also mark an opportunity for Heavy Hitter Pageantry to crown its next representatives while celebrating the inaugural year of the system. The organization is also recognizing the current reign of King Adonis Dickerson Lavish, “The Heavy Wess,” who has spent the year representing Heavy Hitter Pageantry through advocacy and his presence within the system. The Date Is Set Mr. & Miss Heavy Hitter 2027 📅 Sunday, January 17, 2027 📍 Club Crystal — Houston, Texas For Heavy Hitter Pageantry, the road to its inaugural competition continues — even with a calendar change that means one of its founding titleholders will be cheering from another stage. And for Dorae Saunders, the next chapter begins almost immediately. From one historic stage to another, the Heavy Hitters family will be watching.
